Seeking permission to set up billboard along highways
Highways Department has prescribed principle for making consideration to set up billboard for introducing official establishments and private sector as follows:
1. Business Characteristics, Major Establishments
Official establishments and private places where a great many people congregate to do business, although such congregation are not regular events with the traveler likely to get lost or using the said area without efficiency leading to traffic congestion or likely for accident to occur. Such places are described herewith as follows:
1.1 Official establishments
1.2 Private establishments
(1) Sport stadium
(2) Trade center, weekend market, OTOP product sales venue.
(3) Tourism spots, resorts.
(4) Schools
(5) Hospital
(6) Religious site for ever religion.
(7) Industrial site
(8) Foundation and charity institute
(9) Housing estate and condominium
(10) Political party office.
2 Standard And Set Up of Signboards
Billboards with information giving directions to interested travelers going to their destination. Such major places are put in 3 classifications as follows:
a) Billboard indicating destination.
b) Billboard directing roadway.
c) Billboard indicating tourism spot.
Position of billboard giving directions are prohibited to be set up at the intersection of a highway. Billboard shall be set up at the intersection Department of Highways set up its own billboards as per standard. In this nexus, details for using, installing and standard format for billboards shall be as per standard and conditions fixed by Highways Department.
Steps
Procedure 1
- Permit seeker may get details and Receive form at district or Section
- The Section makes appointment with Applicant to point out the place where Signboard is to be put up.
Procedure 2
- The Section scrutinizes and gives Comments, makes pattern to set up Signboard for Applicant to sign its name The matter submitted to Division .
Procedure 3
- The issue reaches the Division
- Official inspects the application and Submits to Division
- Further official scrutiny and submits To higher authority.
Procedure 4
- Sor Nor. Office receive the application
- The official makes scrutiny and Submits to higher authority for action
- Director makes consideration
Procedure 5
- Application reaches Office For Director For Safety . - The engineer makes scrutiny
- Director submits to Director General for signing
Procedure 6
- Deputy Director Gen. issues approval
- send the matter back to the source
Procedure 7
- Application reaches Office For Director For Safety
- submitted to Division
